About

Hi Friends! I’m Phoebe. I grew up in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Currently, I am living on the south shore of Boston with my mom, twin (yes, I have a twin! :-)), and our very fun and spunky dog, Lolly. I am currently 20-years-old and in my sophomore year of college, majoring in accounting. When I’m not blogging, you can find me reading, knitting, journaling, taking a long and quiet walk, or imagining all of the places that I hope to travel to one day!

I started Serendipitous Beginnings as a means to be a creative outlet for me. I genuinely enjoy writing and my goal for this blog is to have my story help someone. In 2017, I was diagnosed with nonverbal learning disability, a learning disability that is not well known. NLD affects many aspects of my life, as well as many other people. Over the last several years, I have learned to cope and improve on my weaknesses, but still have a long road ahead. After feeling frustrated, lonely, helpless, depressed, and anxious, I now have a calling to help people and not let this disorder take over my life. My mission is to raise awareness about nonverbal learning disorder. I want people to realize that treating people with kindness can go a long way.

Most of my posts will be in a diary format where I will be expressing myself and my thoughts. However, I will also be sharing other things from some of my favorite things to do, my travels, favorite books, organizing and decluttering tips, money saving hacks, and so much more.

I’m so excited you’re here! To help you navigate my blog, utilize the search bar. I would love to hear from you and hear your thoughts, opinions, or questions. please reach out to me at serendipitousbeginnings@gmail.com, or send me a message through the contact page.
